How do I find the part number of the item I'm ordering so I can make sure it's compatible with my existing part?
This can vary depending on the laptop brand you have as well as the actual part you're looking at. Generally every part in a laptop has its own part number and should be replaced only with the same part or a substitute part.
The same part can have up to 30 different part numbers. This is because it may be used in several different machines under many different brands. For example, since HP does not make LCD inverters, they use models made by Delta, Sumida, and TDK. This part will also be used in many different HP laptops. It may also be used in Compaq, Gateway, and eMachine brands. This is how the same part can have many different part numbers.
The best way to ensure a proper fit is to search our database by the part number printed on your circuit board. Avoid numbers beginning with E+6 digits. These are Underwriter Laboratories (UL) certification codes NOT part numbers. Many different parts are manufactured by the same company and have the same UL number printed on all of their parts. This is no way to accurately search for any part.
Some stickers are serial numbers, not part numbers. Some stickers are part numbers of a connecting component and NOT the part number of the board.
Please do your best to take a few minutes to peel back the optional mylar plastic cover and use the part number printed directly on the circuit board often in white paint. This will help ensure you have quick and successful repair.
If your part arrives with different stickers or part numbers than what you ordered, this does not mean we shipped you the wrong part. As long as the part has the same pin count, mechanical characteristics (dimensions, screw hole and pin locations), and the same input and output voltage characteristics, it is the right part.
What is a Certified System Pull?
Parts for laptops over 3 years old will almost always be pulls as these parts are out of production and no longer supported by vendors or manufacturers rolling our new product lines. All pulls are in "Grade A" condition. We do not deal in "B Stock" as it is too costly to support after the sale.
I received my order, but the part either doesn't work, or is the wrong part. What do I do?
Contact us right away so we can assist you. It is very important that you provide us with the following information: Your order number and the part number from your original part you are replacing. It's important that you are cooperative and provide us with the needed information so we can effectively troubleshoot your problem and provide you with the best service possible.
What is your part warranty?
Each part, new or used, carries a 30-day warranty against defects. The warranty period starts on the date of the invoice and ends exactly 30 days after the date on the invoice. If a part fails during this period you may return it to us and we will gladly exchange it for the same part. The warranty protects against Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) and any manufacturing defects.
The customer is responsible for matching our part's description, any part number or any other listed numbers associated with a particular part to determine if it is the correct part. If you have any doubt you are ordering the correct part, please email us through our website prior to placing your online order. Shipping charges are non-refundable under any circumstance. All refused shipments will be subject to a 15% restocking fee and any other charges occurring from a refused shipment.
Can I still return my part even though it's past the warranty/return period?
Each item purchased from InverterSolutions.com comes with a return period of 30 days. You are free to return the merchandise for an exchange within the return period, but not after the warranty period has expired.
